How to resolve errors in the Funding Information Service (FIS)
FIS allows you to run through Individualised Learner Record (ILR) data, without the need to submit information on our system.
On Submit learner data, you can check your files without physically submitting data to us, replicating what FIS enables you to do.
Resolving common issues
Checking which version you have can resolve issues with your data. We update the FIS tool regularly and you can download the latest version of FIS through Submit learner data. You can use the Check for Updates feature within FIS to ensure you have the latest version and the most up-to-date reference data.
You can also use the FIS known issues document to check our advice to resolve problems you have.
FIS can only be installed on one machine per download. This means it cannot be installed on a network. You would need to get advice from your organisation's IT support if this is an issue.

To help resolve and offer support to your FIS queries we need:
your UK Provider Reference Number (UKPRN)
if it is a FIS application or a rule validation issue
If the issue is a FIS application issue we will need the FIS error message you are getting.
