How are the high needs places in my general annual grant (GAG) determined?

From: Education and Skills Funding Agency

The number of high needs places included in your GAG is based on the number of high needs places commissioned by the local authority (LA).

We have published information on the number of high needs places commissioned.

We are only able to provide allocations for high needs places which the LA has confirmed.

Should you consider that you have agreed a higher number of high needs places, your LA may provide additional funding directly to the academy to account for these. Discuss this with them in the first instance.

Additional guidance about high needs place funding included in your general annual grant is available in our Academies general annual grant allocation guides: 2020 to 2021.
