Due to the COVID outbreak a number of Finance apprentices were not able to sit their exams, and due to the available windows for sitting these they are going to exceed their PED. Technically these apprentices have not been on a break in learning, as they have continued to work in placements and prepare for their exams. Are we able to extend the PEDs in light of the impact from COVID, and how would we reflect that in the system so it didn't appear as an error?

Absolutely NOT! We do not change the PED just because learners haven't finished, they'll just finish after they were meant to. It is a "planned" end date, after all.
Given there is no concept of "timeliness" for Standards yet, there's no impact on achievement rates.
