specifically we have a 16 year old apprentice in care with the local authority and they need a laptop to access their OTJT. Would we the ITP provide this out of the additional payment we receive for a learner in care or should this still be in the domain of the local authority to support?
I understand that there is no equivalent bursary fund for apprentices as they are considered to be in work.
Any guidance would be welcome please and I presume that the payment we receive for a learner in care is over and above the additional payment for 16-18 apprentices?

I'm sure I read yesterday Gillian Keegan's statement that apprentice employers should be supporting their apprentices with equipment such as laptops etc.
