Learner unable to start a new apprenticeship

One of our learners withdrew from an apprenticeship before they started but are still Live on the Digital Apprenticeship Service.  They have now started a new apprenticeship, but the system is saying they are unable to start the new apprenticeship.  Is this because they are still 'Live' with the old employer?

Probably, yes. You need to get the old employer to stop the DAS record with the same end date as the start date. If, for any reason, that employer won't do this, you can seek advice from the Apprenticeship Service.
