Checking I haven't missed anything, was prompted by IT company trying to tell me we needed to get Cyber Essential Plus for 21/22 academic year and how they could help. It did indicate we would have to in ESFA note 29/1/2020: “For the 2020 to 2021 funding year, the requirement will be to meet the requirements for Cyber Essentials, with progression to Cyber Essentials Plus from the 2021 to 2022 funding year”
But the condition of funding document 20/21 states: “1.1 Where the College will handle information at OFFICIAL on behalf of the Department, the requirements under Cabinet Office Procurement Policy Note 09/14 – Use of Cyber Essentials Scheme certification, or any subsequent updated document, are mandated, the College will endeavour to meet the requirements of Cyber Essentials for the 2020/21 Funding Year and present the results to the Department on request.”
Is anyone still planning to get plus certification for 21/22 or has that happily gone away?
No one has replied to this post.
Yes we have upgraded to Essentials Plus to be ready for 21/22.

We're looking into this at the moment, I understand that in March this was scaled back due to Covid.
I'm sending in a request to clarify as there wasn't an announcement in the ESFA updates.
