Apprenticeship Standards - transfers to different 'pathways'
Created
Hi
I have a scenario where learners on an Apprenticeship Standard (STD 167, Engineering Technician, for example), can choose between different pathways within the standard. Unlike Frameworks, where there is a discrete pathway code, for Standards the learner will simply do different units, and stay on the same Standard code.
If a learner moves to a new pathway within the Standard - would you expect the learner sign new paperwork, such as a commitment statement etc. Or would you simply register the learner for the new appropriate units?
There has been no change to the learning agreement in the sense that the learning aims/Standard code stay the same, however the content of the apprenticeship could be quite different.
Adam.

You should revise the commitment statement to record any change in delivery.
Is there a process of transferring learners from old standards to new standards? Also if employer stops a learner and then decide to restart, what are the ways of recording on the ILR? Does the ILR start date change as well?
