Suspension work towards & attempt level 2 Functional Skills

Created

Can someone confirm I am reading this right in that the temporary suspension of the requirement for level 2 apprentices to work towards and attempt level 2 Functional Skills is applicable to both Frameworks (those that are finishing off) as well as Standard Apprenticeships?

5. Information: temporary suspension of the requirement for level 2 apprentices to work towards and attempt level 2 Functional Skills

The duration of this rule suspension has been extended to include level 2 apprentices with a planned end date on or before 31 December 2021. For all apprentices with a planned end date beyond 31 December 2021, providers must plan and deliver level 2 English and maths in accordance with the normal published funding rules (pre-COVID)

It's for L2 apprentices that would normally have to attempt the L2 exam. They had previously extended this for anyone with end dates up to this month, its now extended to December.

So if your apprentice was due to go through getaway/complete their framework before 31st December they now dont have to attempt the L2 exam.

I hope this helps.
