Apprentice age - 16 but ILR error

Hello all,
We have an apprentice with a DOB of 20/09/2005. He is 16 however when entering his details using the LET, we recieve an error stating he is not of school leaving age. He was due to start his apprenticeship on 07/10/2021.
I am assuming this is because he wasnt 16 before the end of the summer holidays, is anyone able to confirm this?

Yeah, he's only 15 based on 1 September, won't be able to start an App til next June...
