Apprenticeship Account and email addresses

Hi, 

We have an employer that has set all learners up in their account as they should do. They have 1 learner who doesn't have an email address and therefore cannot proceed to approve. 

Is there a work around for this please?

The employer can use in DAS the Apprentices current personal email address of the learner as recorded on the ILR, a personal email address at the employer or a personal email address at the training provider.

Thanks for this Martin, the learner does not have an email address at all. He's an older gentleman upskilling before retirement, and is in manufacturing on the shop floor so doesn't have one through work either.

Is using their HR email address an option?

I do not know what a HR email address is, normally providers allocate an personal provider email address to learners.

We are the provider and do not allocate email addresses. We do not recruit apprentices, we go into existing companies and upskill their current workforce. 

Not all of their workforce are assigned email addresses unless they are in an admin function. 

I didn't know whether it would be possible to use someone in HR's email address for this purpose?

One option if they have any on any mobile device or android or ISO mobile phone is for them to get a free email address from Google (or another provider)

Apart from that I have run out of options.as it has to be a personal email address
