Non-EEA eligibility evidence
Created
Hi all,
Can I ask what evidence you are saving to evidence this in the funding rules:
Non-EEA citizens P391 A non-EEA citizen is eligible for funding if they have permission from the UK government to live in the UK (not for educational purposes), and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous three years before the start of the apprenticeship.
We have been using settled status confirmation etc - do we have to hold that evidence or can we accept self declaration etc. I am very happy to admit that this is one that throws me and my requests for clarification on evidence have not been answered!
Many thanks for your time.

Ooh, this is different to Settled Status which is mainly (always?) EEA Citizens.
So, for Non-EEA learners, I'd check and note some evidence (work/spouse visas mainly, I'd guess?) rather than self-dec. We don't have to *keep* evidence for anything.
