You would record a new TNP1 and TNP2 line effective as of the date you were informed/the date the 'new' price applies, as you initially suggested. So it would look something like;
TNP1 - 01/08/2020 - 15000
TNP1 - 24/02/2022 - 12000
TNP2 - 24/02/2022 - 3000
Regarding whether you should use TNP1/2/3/4, the guidance is quite clear thankfully;
If the previous price record for the programme was a total price (code 1 or 2), then the new price should also be a total price (code 1 or 2), unless the employer has changed. If the previous price was a residual price (code 3 or 4), then the new price must also be a residual price (code 3 of 4).

Adding a TNP 2 to a learner from a previous year
Created
Hi, I have a learner who started in a previous funding year who was put on with no TNP 2 (Assessment cost) as at the time the EPOA was still being approved, We now need to update the ILR. So currently we just have a TNP 1 of £15k. We need to change it to £12k training and £3k Assessment. Do we need to do new TNP1 and TNP 2 like a break in learning, as the employer is the same or use residual values TNP 3 and 4? Thanks
