Apprentice Break In learning Prior learning Maths/English

Created

I am struggling to find a definitive answer on this. When an apprentice returns from a break in learning I understand I should return "Component aim: Proportion of the aim still to be delivered (English and maths aims only)". Does anyone know how this should be calculated? Is it purely based on the relative time on programme or should I make a more in depth assessment based on the learning that has taken place so far.

Purely money based. So basically you need to work out how much of the £471 you had before the break and work out the proportion remaining.

Thank you for your reply Steve, if there a specific part of the guidance that confirms this or should it just be self evident? I wonder in particular as surely the SFA already know from their records how much has been paid out but as this is component based I could understand it being hard enough to track we need the adjustment ourselves?

Yeah, you think they'd be able to work it out for a simple BIL, but here we are ;)

Can't immediately find it, but you're right it's not self-evident, I only know because I know, which I realise is Not A Good Answer.

Thank you for your reply Steve, much appreciated.
