You can't fund cohorts of HE learners on AEB, but if individuals on HE courses also happen to do an AEB course (the classic being GCSE M&E) that has never been a problem.
It is *very weird* that they've taken this out of the AEB rules, don't currently have access to my Archive to quote chapter and verse!
The last sentence is the key bit "Also, the ESFA does not fund learning that duplicates provision funded from another source, and does not expect systematic claims of FE funding for HE learners."
So, "Are You Sure" that the learners on the report are doing something different to their HE course and that you aren't enrolling them systematically (ie whole cohorts)?

Hi all,
am i correct in saying that we cannot fund a HE funded programme (99) the same time as AEB/ASF (35)?
Ive looked in the AEB funding rules and cant see anything in there which states this is not permitted.
The PDSAT report itself mentions apprenticeships but not so much on AEB
