Thanks very much Martin
I suspected as much as this would be the logical thing to do - but I haven't seen any actual official confirmation of this anywhere so I thought it was worth asking before I started the process of taking on more apprentices from these employers.
Hello
Has anyone had any update on this? I queried with the Helpdesk today and received the below response...
"I understand from your email that you are requesting information about the reservation cap and when/if it will be reset.
Unfortunately as it stands, the future financial year’s reservations levels for employers who do not pay the apprenticeship levy are still under review. In the meantime SMEs can benefit from further funding through the receipt of levy transfers from larger employers which don’t count towards the reservations limit.
Once our team receives more information, we will be sure to let you know.
I hope this information is found useful, Linnea."
Doesn't feel very reassuring as the reservations have not been reset yet?
I had a very similar response when I asked the helpdesk.
Simon Ashworth from AELP raised the same point on LinkedIn yesterday and there's a complete lack of clarity on this all round
There's been literally no communication about it...despite the Government website referring specifically to the 10 reservation limit being for the financial year 2021-22 (see below)
If new employers haven't had any apprenticeship starts, then logically they'd still be entitled to their allocation of 10. But this isn't definite and there seems to be no additional supporting information available anywhere?

Does anyone know if the 10 learner limit for non-levy payers will be reset for the new financial year from April 2022?
I can't find any information about it but I have several employers who have reached the limit but still have learners who want to start apprenticeships?
Thanks
