Subcontracted ESF Last Start Date

Struggled to find an answer for this, perhaps someone else has come across already.
We are delivering a few qualifications for which the last date for other funding has expired on LARS in relation to the learners start date. However they fall within the allowed window of news starts for ESF funding. As the learners are not ones we claim funding for directly my understanding was they should be recorded as 99 and 998/999 for funding.
It seems doing so causes the ILR to technically correctly pick them up as invalid starts under the other funding category. Is there a way to record them as falling under the ESF funding start dates without erroneously reporting that we are claiming funding? I wouldn't expect to record them as funding id 70-ESF with us not claiming the funding?
