Changing Employer on DAS

That's how you used to have to do it before they added the 'change' feature. It won't cause a problem providing the dates don't overlap.

If the gap is less than 30 days however, be mindful of this - Stop dates to use following a change of employer where the gap in employment is 30 days or less – Apprenticeship Service Support (education.gov.uk)

Yes, it's how I've done it before but I had a bit of a wobble when I saw this in case a new method would cause an issue.

We have a data mis-match come up.  The original cost with the 1st employer was £10000 and the residual cost with the new employer is £6000. On our MIS system it is input as residual cost.  How do we get rid of the error?

The ILR data-mis-match is coming up on the 1st employer that has stopped their account, not on the new employers.  The new employer isn't set up as 2nd employer on DAS.  They started a new account instead of in a cohort.

It sounds like you're getting the error because currently the only record for this apprentice in DAS is from Oct2020 which is when I am guessing they started with employer 1. The system will compare this with the latest date/TNP on the ILR, so because you've added TNP3 and TNP4 as of May2022 (presumably when the apprentice changed employer), it is trying to match to this and is noticing the dates/prices don't match.

Employer 2 will need to set up their account and add the apprentice using May2022 and £6,000 as the TNP, at which point it will then see that the 2 systems match. Alternatively, they can give you permissions to do this and you can ensure the date/price matches - Record a change of employer – Apprenticeship Service Support (education.gov.uk)

That makes sense but it is the same employer, she has just progressed to a Level 3 apprenticeship from her L2.
