Transferring in learners

Hi - I am transferring in learners from another provider they are on the same course and continuing as is just with us.  However, our start and end date makes it look like they aren't doing the minimum duration.  It can't be right we enter their original start date so is there a field somewhere I enter something in to alert ILR that they are transferred?  We get the error #the planned duration of the programme does not reach the required minimum duration for an apprenticeship standard  bonus points if you use YETI and can explain it in a way I can do it on there as ILR speak is still a little complex for me.  Thanks in advance

Assuming this is an apprentice, you just need to record them as 1 in the restart indicator. Any reports about minimum duration, you just need to make a note that you have evidence of how long they were on programme with the previous provider (should be in the PLR), and your duration add together to make a year. You're right, you don't record an original start date unless they're returning form a break at the same provider.

Many thanks for your help with this. We are fairly new to this and I was wondering if you could point me to any notes/ guidelines on how to do a restart as I am sure it would be more than simply choosing "Learning Aim restarted" in the drop-down field of the restart indicator? I understood what you said in your response but I am not sure, from a Yeti point of view, what the steps would be in order to clear the errors. Thanks again in advance.

I'm afraid I'm entirely unfamiliar with Yeti. There isn't one nice guide to restarts, it's all over the guidance. You just have to read the lot! Provider Support Manual, ILR Specification and Apprenticeship Funding Guidance. It's all in there somewhere, but it's a lot of reading. If it's software specific, you'd need to ask the people who make that. From our software point of view, it's literally a tick box, and that's it.
