We're just having a discussion and where a learner is returning from a break in learning but has changed employer during the break should the original episode of learning be converted to a withdrawal or would you apply the sample principal of changing employers irrespective if the learner was on a break?

You'd convert their original BIL to a withdrawal and process them as a restart
