With us it crashed when the total cost column was formatted as currency, when I changed that column format to numbers with no commas or decimal places in it, it worked. Was great being able to upload all the cohorts at once as opposed to one at a time.

OK I think that comment and a nights sleep made it all click into place thanks for that Martin. So the key phrase is 'the ILR data was last reported in 2020/21 or after' as long as the ILR data for that learner is reported in 22/23 the hybrid end year rolls over into 22/23 or 2021.5 The learner becomes a next year potential achiever and doesn't count as a leaver for 21/22.

Also I really appreciate the feedback Martin, just had my head in a few too many technical documents today so I apologise if I sound ratty. Your advice and help is always appreciated. I think there's something I'm not seeing in the Step 1, Step 2 on page 25/27. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1066741/Apprenticeship_QAR_Technical_Specification_202021_FINAL_v1.4.pdf I guess I'm just trying to understand how a learner who is in the process of Gateway at the end of the academic year is treated by QAR when they have finished their learning and an A31 is returned but their achievement status is unknown at the point of hard close R14 21/22 and R04 22/23. As we could have a significant number who would fall into this gap. I can see that they would be treated as achievers (if they achieve) in 22/23, but I can't see that anything stops them being seen as a negative in 21/22. If they are a negative, then that's fine I just need to make it clear to my teams that this will be the case.

Would that apply in this case? At R14 the completion status of code 2 or 3 would not be set as the outcome of EPA would not be known. It might be that I'm overthinking it, but in December we'd know if they've passed or failed providing nothing delays the EPA process. This field would then be set. It's conceivable it could continue to January or February. So in November when the final QAR data is submitted the completion status field would be empty. But the actual end date would be reported. https://guidance.submit-learner-data.service.gov.uk/21-22/psm/article/recording-apprenticeship-outcomes-and-completion#article-Recording%20apprenticeship%20standard%20completions

Yes, but in my previous example at the point of R14 for 21/22 These would read like this Achievement year (none entered, potentially December 2022) Actual End year: - Date of Gateway- July 2022 - 21/22 Planned end year: - Date of Gateway - July 2022 - 21/22 Reporting Year - R14 21 22 So the later would be 21/22 (or 2021 as hybrid in the data files.) I don't see any exclusion of special case for learners who have gone through gateway but are awaiting the outcome of EPA.

Thanks Martin that's what I feel to be true, but which of the rules in the below document mean that would be the case? I can't see an exclusion that removes learners who are awaiting the outcome of their EPA? Or am I referring to the wrong file? https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1066741/Apprenticeship_QAR_Technical_Specification_202021_FINAL_v1.4.pdf

So just started working. Not sure where I'd gone wrong, I uninstalled all SQL server packages. Then installed Sql server express basic non developer https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/sql-server/sql-server-downloads?rtc=1 Then the SQL server 2019 Localdb linked to in the PDSAT and it came to life with a green tick. Not sure what step I missed.

So just received a new computer and setting up the PDSAT. The above worked on my previous computer but it's no longer working on the new one. Trying to work out what's going wrong. Have installed SQL server 2019 Local DB other programs are able to connect to the server so I know it's running. However PDSAT is not able to make a connection as per step 6 in Steveh's excellent unofficial PDSAT guide. Anyone have any tips?

Yes all were approved on the morning of the 7th May. We did a manual check to make sure the cohorts had been accepted and they were showing under the manage apprentices tab. I believe they should have been able to accept the cohorts until at least 17:00 on the Friday.
