Thank you Ruth, I knew I wasn't cracking up. I loved the FRM report (very sad), and now there just seems to be load of different places that you have to look for different reports everywhere, which is ridiculous really, and takes up so much time. Everything should just be in one place. I've given up trying to use the VYED BI Desktop Dashboard reports as I can't seem to get any data out of it, I've give your reverse engineering a go. Thank you again x

Thank you for your replies. Unfortunately, I have 3 learners, and all of them were with different employers a while ago. One of them was with ourselves previously, but still the funding doesn't add up correctly 2 Learners, don't show the qualification or Apprenticeship Standard on their PLRs They are not coming up in a employer co-investment report, (just a PICs reconciliation/funding differences report) Years ago, the ESFA did produce a report, with the ULIN or UKPRN of the previous provider if there was a match with previous funding qualification. Do you know if they still do this. I've had a look but can't find anything

Hi Martin, they didn't really say. They just made an written observation that a lot of our apprentices were doing over the 20% as if it was a really bad thing. I've looked in the funding and monitoring guide and can't find anything that say's anything about going over the 20%.

Hi Guys Just a quick follow-up question I am being asked. If employed prior to starting their evidenced learning with us (the provider), except for the the sign-up documents etc, do we need to collect any other form of evidence from the employer between these two dates? I understand that payments will not start until they start their practical period as this is the start date on the ILR, but I am being told that they possibly could start some legit training towards their apprenticeship with their employer before starting official learning with us. I know what my answer is, but would like to hear what others think! Thank you

Thank you Martin. I agree. I would only expect as a maximum, within one week, even though the Apprenticeship Agreement has to be signed before or on the Start Date, (but which start date). I think it just gets confusing for people when there are more than one start date to start confusing things. I do wish they would make it just simple so there can be not discussion and it is what it is!

Hi Martin Do you know if there is a set timescale of what is allowed between the employment start date and the start of the apprenticeship practical period start date? Secondly, on the ILR status before enrolment would it be employed or not employed. Sorry to ask the obvious, but sometimes it is necessary!

That's what we are doing now. But with Covid etc we were doing more training online and signing up remotely, so not sure where we stand with this.

I have a follow-up question. Would an auditor be happy that you could just produce evidence that you had "sent" or "presented" course material? At a recent mock audit that we commissioned, although we recorded full details on the first leaner progress review (conducted on day 1 on the learning start date), that we supplied the apprentice with course work etc, and this was signed by the employer, learner and employer, the auditor did not accept this as evidence of in learning on day one and said had this been a legitimate formal audit, would deduct funding. What are your thoughts and counter arguments please?

This question has come up time and time again within our company. Please be careful when you use the term "Induction" as evidence of in learning. We have been told by a few auditors that induction does not count as in learning and the Funding Rules state "The date learning begins. This does not include enrolment, induction, diagnostic assessment or prior assessment"
