Thanks for your responses Steve and Martin that's really helpful. We use PICSWeb as our host platform (learners are automatically exported in our monthly ILR returns so we shouldn't have any issues). Thanks. Sue

Steveh thanks for the further clarification (it had generated a payment which will be clawed back) - good to know this won't affect the QAR. Thanks everyone.

Thanks Philip Dawe / Ben James that's good to know. Martin West - apologies for any confusion, this learner's first day of learning was Module 1 (which was the start date) but as the learner hadn't completed any further learning, I had taken the learner back to the start of the programme (i.e. Module 1). Hope this clarifies. Thanks.

Hi both, thanks for your guidance, the learner did in fact complete the new style aim so I have now corrected it and no longer have any errors. Thanks again :-) Sue

Keli Burns apologies Keli this post was on a question I had raised so re-posted onto yours :-) Martin West Sue It would not be my preferred method of planning an Apprenticeship programme due to extending the programme and increased OTJ hours requirement but there is nothing in the funding rules that prohibits front loading FS. Keli Even though you may not be delivering KSB for the standard in the first few months the on programme payments will start as of the start of the practical period, but this is no different to block release training which may be condensed at the start, during or at the end. Thanks for the clarification Martin, it's good to know that it's possible to front load FSkills. We currently have an extended programme running but wanting to look into the possibility of delivering FS first and completed, so the learner is then able to focus on the main aim. Apologies I have another question Martin - if the FS aims were to be completed first, is it correct that the learner would still be required to complete some form of learning and evidenced for the main aim (at the start of the prog and on a monthly basis, during completion of FS) as i'm aware FS doesn't count towards the OTJ requirement? Thanks again.

Thanks Philip and Steve I thought that was the case but just wanted to double check.

Hi, can I just double check that it is correct and possible to front load Functional Skills (FS) within a programme so these are completed first as per Keli's question? We are aware we would need to extend the programme to enable a learner to complete English, and/or maths then the Standard (which would also mean the minimum OTJ would have to be increased and cover the whole of the programme). Thanks Sue
