Peter Hancock, yes I had a feeling it was about using ZZ99 so searched on that rather than the word 'postcode'!

I think this section in https://guidance.submit-learner-data.service.gov.uk/23-24/psm/article/sending-data-to-the-ESFA#article-Postcode%20validation may apply? Postcode validation It is important that postcodes are correctly formatted, this includes the space between the two parts of the postcode. Postcodes with two spaces will fail validation when the data is uploaded to the online service. Most postcode fields in the ILR are mandatory fields and cannot be left blank. For mandatory postcode fields, if the postcode is unknown or does not apply then a value of ZZ99 9ZZ should be recorded. For the Learning start date postcode field and if the learner's postcode is unknown or not yet updated on the ONS postcode table (i.e. a new build), providers must return a postcode of ZZ99 9ZZ.

Hi, Just checking my own understanding on this point. Is it based on the Apprenticeship Technical Spec page 21, where deriving the achievement year of a programme aim includes this line: 'When the Completion status is 1 and Outcome is 8 set to 0' 0 indicating that the aim is not included in the QAR calculation? Thanks

Hi, Worth referring here also to the business rules doc page 7 (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1186398/QAR_business_rules_2022_to_2023_v2.0.pdf): 15. The overall QAR, pass rate and retention rate calculations use the hybrid end year of the learning aim. The hybrid end year is the later of the: a) achievement year (for apprenticeship standards on funding model 36 only) b) planned end year of the learning aim c) actual end year of the learning aim d) reporting year So my understanding, in your example: If you report the learner programme aim with Planned & Actual end dates in 22/23, but with an Achievement date in 23/24, then they will be counted in the 23/24 QAR (that being the 'achievement year' of the leaver, which is later than planned/actual end years).

That error is more to do with the learner's employment record than the programme aim but it may kick in when saving the record. Check the effective date(s) for the employment, possibly a typo has crept in, e.g. 2024 rather than 2023?

Hi, from this document: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/914114/Earnings_Adjustment_Statement_guidance.pdf Note: my bold in the text below 28. When you add a new adjustment, you should create a separate row of data if any one of the five fields above is different for that adjustment compared to existing rows in your file. You only need to send a new file if there have been changes or additions since the last file you sent. 29. Each CSV file you submit will overwrite the last one you submitted; therefore, the file needs to include all the data you submit for your organisation for the current funding year – not just the period that you are submitting data in. If you submit an EAS with a previous month’s data removed, we will recover any payments from you relating to that removed data. So you don't have to keep submitting the same file each month if there is no change
